Oryx Impact is proud to have participated in the Africa Sovereign Investors Forum held in Mauritius, where our Partners, Teresa Guardans, Sebastian Waldburg, Eva Abel, and Jean-Philippe de Schrevel, engaged with key decision-makers from across the continent. The event brought together influential stakeholders, including Sovereign Wealth Funds, financial institutions, asset managers, and policymakers, to discuss innovative strategies for sustainable investment in Africa.
In a dedicated session, Eva and Jean-Philippe shared their expertise on the transformative potential of impact investing, highlighting the strategic importance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as the backbone of African economies. They emphasised the need for a collaborative approach to strengthen the emerging impact investing ecosystem in Africa and outlined the advantages of a Fund-of-Funds strategy in driving scalable, diversified impact.
We were delighted to see such a positive reception to our ideas, which resonated with the audience and sparked meaningful discussions about fostering growth and sustainable development across the continent.
A special thank you to Ithmar Capital, the Africa Sovereign Investors Forum, and the Mauritius Investment Corporation (MIC) Ltd for hosting this impactful event. We are excited to continue building on these discussions and driving forward pan-African collaboration for a sustainable future.
